Art of Roof Aims to Add Style to Companies' Energy Performance

Art of Roof, hébergée dans l’accélérateur Village by CA des Savoie, propose de mettre du style dans la performance énergétique des entreprises en s’appuyant sur la technologie du Cool Roof. Pour accompagner les entreprises vers une transition durable, Art of Roof s’impose comme un expert en toitures fraîches en Savoie, alliant innovation et esthétisme. Grâce à une expertise pointue, elle aide à réduire les coûts énergétiques tout en embellissant le paysage urbain. Cette approche créative permet également de sensibiliser davantage au développement durable et à l’importance de l’efficacité énergétique.
Cool Roof is a white paint that stores much less heat than the roofs of commercial buildings, which are often sealed with bitumen... Very black and very hot. Art of Roof (or AoR) creates works of art using this technology to offer companies, supermarkets, and industries a way to cool their buildings while enhancing their visual identity. After murals, now comes roof art – if you will – and Google Maps will be the gallery.

A paint to cool buildings and combat urban heat islands
Cooling buildings and the city with paint, while creating an open-air art gallery. This is another project that Aix-based artist and entrepreneur Jean-Bruno Ricard has embarked on, who also started a collective for revegetating the city.
With a long-time friend, Jean-Sébastien Plaut, a graphic designer, they came up with the idea of developing a concept that combines art and ecology. In October 2022, the two partners created the company Art of Roof, with which they want to repaint the roofs of buildings and other surfaces in the city. The goal of the approach: to cool energy-intensive buildings, such as thermal sieves, and combat heat islands.
