PRIMATHERM® - Water-based thermo-reflective base
DESCRIPTION
PRIMATHERM® is a water-based coating made with elastomeric acrylic resins that highly reflects sunlight and emits thermal energy. PRIMATHERM® reduces heat absorption from solar radiation. Thanks to its innovative formula, this coating stays much cooler than other surfaces when exposed to the sun. It effectively combats building overheating caused by solar heat during warm periods.
PRIMATHERM® is mainly for renovating flat or sloped roofs on industrial, commercial, and residential buildings. This type of roof coating is known as a "COOL ROOF".
By significantly reducing heat entering through the roof, the inside of the building stays cooler. This addresses the problem of overheating from solar radiation at its source.
Beyond its heat-reflecting properties, this coating protects the existing roof waterproofing and extends the lifespan of the coated materials. This is because it reduces stress and thermal shock, leading to better durability.
Must be covered with PRIMATHERM® TCF finish to ensure the system's durability (resistance to dirt and UV rays).

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Before use, refer to the PRIMATHERM® SYSTEM APPLICATION PROTOCOL.
Surfaces: flat and pitched roofs (all types of slopes) - vertical walls (cladding, walls) - intermediate layer on PH169 primer.
Minerals: concrete, fiber cement, slate, terracotta, coatings, etc. Metallic: lacquered steel deck, galvanized steel, aluminum Bituminous: all types of waterproofing membranes
Plastics and composites: fiberglass polyester, polycarbonate
Surface preparation
Surfaces must be pre-treated with PH169 primer.
Application
Apply in 1 to 2 coats at a temperature between 12°C and 35°C and 3°C above the dew point. The humidity should be less than 80%. Apply by roller, brush or airless spray.
- - By roller: apply 2 coats (3 to 4 m2/L per coat depending on the surface)
- - By Airless: application possible in 1 coat if the humidity is less than 70%. Note: a humidity level above 70% significantly slows down drying.
Precautions / Safety
Clean tools quickly after application (strong adhesion). Close opened containers tightly and store away from heat.
